Your legacy lives on

London is one of the world's greenest cities, a source of enjoyment and pride for all who live here. Safeguarding our parks and gardens and creating new open spaces are essential for future generations of Londoners and visitors to our capital.

You can support London Parks & Gardens Trust's work to protect and promote our rich heritage, providing a variety of activities and programmes for adults and children, monitoring planning and development proposals affecting open spaces, and supporting restoration of parks and gardens.

• In addition to lectures, walks and visits throughout the year, the Trust organizes the annual Open Garden Squares Weekend, when squares and gardens extend a special welcome to visitors.
• The Trust's Parks Discovery Project works with teachers to increase children's knowledge and interest in London's green spaces.
• London Landscapes newsletter of what's happening in London's open spaces is published three times a year with continuous updates on the Trust website.
• The London Gardener is the Trust's annual scholarly journal.
• All these works are underpinned by the London Inventory of Historic Green Spaces - the most comprehensive record of London's parks and gardens.

What better memorial? 

The London Parks & Gardens Trust has achieved so much during these past ten years, largely through volunteer effort; but this could not have happened without the support of people like YOU.

Please consider leaving a legacy to the Trust in your will. Every legacy gift is welcome. You can leave the Trust a sum of money, or specific objects, or a residue bequest; and, if you wish, you can choose where your donation goes. Legacies to the Trust are free from inheritance tax, and the value will be deducted from your estate before the tax liability is calculated.

Making a will is important for your wishes to be respected. A solicitor will advise you on making a will and ensure that it is unambiguous. A gift should include the Trust name, charity registration number, and address: For example:
