Description

Aldermanbury Square was laid out in 1962 as part of the London Wall Plan, the extensive post-war re-planning of a 28-acre area by the Corporation of London and London County Council following significant war damage. Although it is a small oval traffic island, it is an attractive green space. It was re-landscaped for the Millennium to include a bench with an inscription of the history of the site. The garden also features a sculpture, shrub beds and a fountain.
