Safestay London Holland Park
Directions
On leaving the gardens of Edwardes Square, turn left and left at the corner of the square. Continue towards the main road, where you turn right, passing the Odeon Cinema. Cross Earls Court Road and Kensington High Street and enter Holland Park through the gateway. Continue up the broad path (Holland Walk) to the end of the grassy area on the left. Take the path on the left towards the remains of Holland House and turn immediately right into a drive leading to the gardens.Description
The original Holland House was a Jacobean mansion, built in 1607 for Sir Walter Cope, James I's Chancellor of the Exchequer. During WW2 the house was bombed and destroyed by fire. Afterwards the remains of one wing were repaired. With new buildings designed by Sir Hugh Casson and Neville Condor, this now forms a Safestay hostel.Further information on LGT Inventory
