Loire Valley Wines Sponsor Open Garden Squares Weekend

This year the event will take place on 10th and 11th June. Support for OGSW from Loire Valley Wines means that the Trust can invest in the event for the future - especially as we work towards the 10th anniversary in 2007. It's also good news for many of the participating gardens and squares as the sponsor is offering wine tasting at selected venues. The tasting will provide both hosts and visitors the opportunity to appreciate the appropriateness of the sponsorship, given the floral qualities, freshness and elegance of the wines from the region.

Refurbish

Loire Valley Wines also plans to refurbish one of the capital's open spaces. René-Louis David, Secrétaire Général of InterLoire, the marketing board for Loire Valley Wines, says: "We are keen to contribute to the values and objectives of the LPGT by leaving a lasting legacy that can be appreciated long after Open Garden Squares Weekend."

Over 100 venues are taking part in this year's event and range from private, institutional, commercial and communal gardens, through to small courtyards and roof terraces, meaning Open Garden Squares Weekend 2006 will offer something to suit all tastes.

Tickets for Open Garden Squares Weekend, which allow entry to all gardens over the entire weekend and Loire Valley Wines sampling at selected venues, cost £5 each in advance from Capital Gardens Ltd.
