with Mary Kuhn
This talk arises from a 2024 study looking at the influence of migration on community food-growing gardens and their gardeners. The session will explore the wonderfully vibrant community gardens in north London looking at what is grown, who is growing it and the benefit growing together brings.
As context, Mary’s talk is a review of the social history of community food growing gardens and the influence of migration to London over time. Mary will also reflect on how her study sits alongside the outcomes of academic studies on the subject.
Mary Kuhn is a Researcher for London Parks and Gardens
