Olden Community Garden is a hidden green space in Islington, and a Site of Importance to Nature Conservation. Over time, a herbaceous garden, an orchard, vegetable terraces, a small meadow and an extensive woodland have all emerged from a railway embankment. Our lawn and Garden House, together with adjacent patio seating areas, provide the perfect setting for community events and parties. A walk through the woodland paths is a delight for all ages. Our volunteers maintain the Garden, guided by our gardeners. And volunteers use our greenhouse to grow cuttings and seeds for other local community groups and activities.
