Fiona Garnett Crumley's Scented Garden - Wandsworth Park NEW
The Garden
Fiona's Scented Garden is a cherished gem within Wandsworth Park, a Grade II listed Edwardian public park on the banks of the Thames. The Friends of Wandsworth Park saved this riverside space from being removed from the public realm, and have turned it into a quiet garden for those seeking an escape from the activities across the rest of the park. It has been designated an Asset of Community Value (ACV), and is managed by the Friends group. The planting design was conceived by committee member Fiona Garnett Crumley to create a peaceful and relaxing environment; after Fiona's tragic death, the committee decided to rename the space Fiona's Scented Garden.
Take some time to stroll around the wider park and visit the Friends' formal bed in its south-east corner, the three-year-old wildflower meadow, and the impressive parallel avenues of London Plane and Lime trees.
