In this award-winning garden - voted 'Best Back garden' by the London Gardens Society - the emphasis is on texture, shapes and contrasting foliage colour. It has taken 300 tons of landscaping material, including top soil, compost, gravel, and granite setts, to give these plants both the conditions they require and maximum visual impact. Sculpting and shaping the plants to give the whole garden a three-dimensional 'see through' effect is also key to the overall design.
