Activities and events are taking place in many gardens during the weekend. The following is just a taste of what’s on – check individual garden pages for more information.

Poetry in the gardens

The William Blake Fellowship will be at Bunhill Fields Historic and Wildlife Garden, where the poet is buried, to talk about his life and work. You can also catch live poetry across the weekend:

Snippets of Shakespeare

Scenes from A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed through the day on Sunday at Middle Temple, by the Pop Up Theatre Company. Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night was first performed at Middle Temple, in 1602!

Croquet and Cocktails

Head to Bedford Square on Saturday and Sunday from 11.30am-4.30pm, or Middle Temple on Sunday from 1-5pm for croquet and cocktails! Enjoy a delicious drink while croquet instructors teach you how to play.

Family activities

Join an interactive treasure hunt at Caledonian Park, take a garden tour, or watch the knitted fashion show and toy parade! Older children and adults can climb the clocktower too.

Brass bands

The Metropolitan Brass Band’s Community Band will be performing at The Hoxton Trust on Saturday from 2.30-4.30pm. Their Senior Band will be performing at The Golden Baggers on Sunday from 2-4pm.
