Ticketing
Do I need to buy a ticket to enter the gardens?
Yes – ALL gardens require a London Open Gardens 2025 entry ticket.
Can I use cash to buy a ticket on the day?
No. All weekend tickets must be bought online.
Other types of tickets are also available to buy online throughout the weekend, including on the day, via our website.
Gardens are encouraged to offer a single entry garden ticket for £5 to visitors and to allow visitors to pay cash for this ticket, however this is at the discretion of the garden. Where gardens offer a single entry ticket, it costs £5 per person per garden entry. Not all gardens are comfortable handling cash or holding a float and will not provide the option of a £5 single entry ticket, in which case you will need to buy an online ticket.
I cannot find my ticket.
1. Search your email using this subject header: Your Order From London Parks and Gardens for London Open Gardens 2025
2. Search all your email accounts – did you use an alternative email to book your tickets?
3. Search your email using ‘from’ London Parks and Gardens.
4. Search your email junk or spam folders.
5. Visit the support pages at https://londonparksandgardens.eventcube.io/support#
Do children need a ticket?
FREE child tickets (11 years and under) are available. These tickets must be booked online, in advance and are only valid for entry with an accompanying adult (18+) ticket holder.
There is also a discounted ticket for 12 – 17 year olds costing £10, also bookable online.
How do I book for a London Open Gardens guided walk or cycle tour?
In order to book a guided walk or cycle tour you must first purchase your London Open Gardens ticket.
In the Spring of 2025 the guided walks and cycle tours will go on sale. You can then add a walk or tour to your order.
Are ticket refunds available?
We operate a strict no refund policy.
There is an option when booking tickets for you to add personal insurance, covering the cost of your ticket (less booking fee) should the event be cancelled. Garden opening times and days may vary please check our website for details. Whilst we hope to open all of the gardens, some may not be able to open at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.
How do I apply for a free companion ticket?
FREE companion tickets for those requiring carers are available.
The free companion ticket is available to anyone who requires assistance or supervision throughout the event.
If you are a wheelchair user, you are automatically eligible for a free companion ticket, if you require one.
If you are registered as severely sight impaired or blind, or receive DLA/PIP/Attendance Allowance at a higher or enhanced rate, you are automatically eligible for a free companion ticket.
Please email ticketing@londongardenstrust.org with your booking reference details about your assistance requirement and we will arrange ticket dispatch.
I have received email confirmation of my ticket order; what do I need to show stewards on the entry gate?
When you place your order you receive an email confirmation usually within 10 minutes.
On your email confirmation you will see an option to Download Ticket.
Download the ticket and either save it on your phone or print the ticket to show stewards on the gate.
If you choose to show stewards a digital ticket on your phone or device, please have the tickets open and ready to show stewards BEFORE reaching the gate, in order to prevent queues.
Your visit
Can I bring my dog?
Please check the garden listings on our website (available from early 2025); not all participating gardens allow dogs. Some garden committees do not allow residents to take dogs into their gardens, and the same rules apply for London Open Garden visitors.
Is there a printed map guide of the gardens?
Yes. A free A5 (fold out to A2) garden map guide showing locations and opening times is offered to all ticket holders at garden gates during the event weekend.
This map guide is also published online on our website approximately six weeks prior to the event, to help you plan your weekend.
It is my first visit to London Open Gardens. Are there suggested journeys between gardens to help me plan my weekend?
Yes. In the spring of 2025 our volunteer garden coordinators, who each oversee a London borough or ‘area’, write suggested walking routes between the gardens in their area. These routes are shared on our website.
Can I search gardens by type to help me choose which gardens to visit?
Yes. Use the online garden selector tool (available from early 2025) on our website to filter gardens by type, location or opening times. It will also show you which gardens have similar opening times and are close to the garden you are interested in.
Are there activities taking place in the gardens during London Open Gardens?
Yes – some gardens will provide music, plant sales or tours with their gardener. Please check our website and use the garden selector tool (available from early 2025) to see which gardens have activities or additional programming
How do I check if a garden is suitable for wheelchair users, or for someone with limited mobility?
Please check the garden listings on our website (available from early 2025) for full access details (as supplied by the gardens).
Will I be photographed at this event?
Please be aware there will be photography and filming at this event. If you do not wish to be photographed in one of the gardens you are visiting, please make the photographer aware.
Which gardens have toilet facilities?
