Award-winning Capital Gardens is an independent business consisting of five unique Garden centres, two in London, three in the south-east.
Finalists in a recent DIY Week Sustainability Awards, the garden centres are proving attractive to new and young gardeners keen to enjoy their green spaces with a sustainable approach. With expert weekly blog posts and twice-monthly webinars, Capital Gardens are at the forefront in helping new gardeners grow their curiosity as well as their plants.
Flagship Neal’s Nurseries in Wandsworth, has the largest outside plant area in central London devoted entirely to plants, with a diverse range of plants arriving daily during the growing season. The outside plants are complemented inside by a very large collection of houseplants.
Alexandra Palace Garden Centre, with its rural setting in Alexandra Park, also concentrates on garden plants and houseplants. Space permits a lovely rooftop café overlooking the plant area with background views of the mature parkland trees.
Capital Gardens, with these unique plant-centric centres and their friendly approach, have become renowned for making gardening accessible to new and seasoned gardeners.
The centres outside London consist of Sherfield-on-Loddon just north of Basingstoke, the newest member of the Capital Gardens family, along with Studley Green Garden Centre on the edge of the Chilterns, and Woods Garden Centre, set in the pretty market town of Berkhamsted.
