The rooftop garden at 30 Cannon Street is an exemplar of the continuing development of high-level urban greening projects that can be found in the Square Mile.

Forming part of the City's green corridor, this stunning 7000ft2 roof garden perfectly illustrates the combination of herbaceous planting in a contemporary setting with strong functional design principles and use of hard landscaping. It is a perfect balance of forms and textures as seen in the strong horticulture planting plan and in the choice of stunning materials for the seating and planters.

Against the impressive backdrop of St Paul's Cathedral and other iconic City landmarks, tall achilleas, giant mixed grasses, salvia Hot Lips and kniphofia Bees Sunset provide sources of food and nectar for wildlife. The garden is a haven for birds and bees with a number of hives located in a secluded area on the rooftop.

The striking building stands on a triangular island site and is part of the prestigious Romulus portfolio. It was extensively refurbished in 2015 and shortlisted for the prestigious RIBA London Regional Awards.
