In partnership with the Whitechapel Gallery, London Parks and Gardens will be working with communities around Mile End Park in East London.

More details will be shared here, but we can confirm we’ll be working with three local artists to explore the hidden value Mile End Park embodies. It’s an exciting new venture for us, which we are certain will both challenge and help us all as we strive to celebrate the relevance of public greenspace, old and new.

As part of the Gallery’s 125th anniversary celebrations, we’ll be taking part in their first ever Backyard Biennial, a new collaborative, cross-venue arts
festival, celebrating the East End’s unique historic, creative and cultural
identity.
