OmVed Gardens
The Garden
OmVed Gardens is a thriving ecosystem built on previously tarmacked land. Its aim is to show the impact a regenerative approach can have everywhere - but especially in urban areas - to improve health and climate resilience. The gardens are cared for by a multidisciplinary team, paying special attention to essential but often invisible or overlooked considerations: soil, seeds, micro-organisms, wild plants, wildlife, air and water. The team believes that learning to nurture these better in our daily lives is key to advancing towards the 2030 UN Agenda for Sustainable Development. Their objectives are to create habitat, share knowledge, hold space and inspire action to increase biodiversity and ecological awareness, and realise our deep entwinement with each other and the more-than-human. They do so by producing educational videos and resources, and collaborating with a wide range of individuals and organisations to create events, workshops and exhibitions to expand knowledge on developing healthy habits and becoming more climate resilient.
