The final lecture in our series takes place Tuesday 10th March at Lambeth’s Garden Museum.

Join us live Feb 21st for a fun hands-on exploration of gardening

Join us on Saturday 21st February 2026 from 2pm to 4.30pm in the Russell Room at St Mary’s Bourne Street, SW1 to explore the fascinating history of gardening through ten intriguing mystery objects.

This interactive event offers a unique blend of hands-on investigation and expert insight.

The afternoon begins with participants working in small groups to examine and discuss mysterious bagged objects, piecing together clues about their purpose and historical significance. After a break for refreshments at 3pm, garden historian and academic Dr David Marsh will reveal the secrets behind each object through an illuminating talk, connecting them to broader themes in gardening history and demonstrating their relevance to our understanding of green spaces today. The event concludes at 4.30pm with opportunities to share reflections and experiences.

Tickets are £25 per person, with spaces limited to ensure an intimate, participatory experience. This event will be recorded for distribution to LPG members.
