Trustees

London Parks and Gardens is a small charity with big ambitions. We’re looking for new voluntary Trustees with skills and energy to match.

We run the annual London Open Gardens weekend and are consulted by councils on planning issues impacting public green spaces. If you want to campaign for a better London and have experience in the heritage, landscape, finance, fundraising or digital marketing sectors then we’d love to hear from you.

We need active and determined individuals to join our board, setting our strategy and supporting our team based at the iconic Duck Island Cottage in St James’s Park.

London has more than 3,000 parks and gardens, each unique in reflecting the rich cultural heritage of their past and valued by communities for offering space for nature, space for health and wellbeing, and increasingly space where nature can help reduce the severest impacts of climate change on our lives.

Because of this value, they are development magnets, attracting proposals for new housing and infrastructure projects, slowly crowding them out of existence.

We need determined people to help us grow and maximise our impact. Being a voluntary Trustee is quite a commitment. In return for your investment in us, we endeavour to help you grow and learn professionally, while offering the joy which comes from improving London for people, for nature, forever.
