Who we are

The charity relies mainly on volunteers to carry out its important work, whether carrying out research, responding to planning applications that will encroach on much loved green space or working with others to celebrate London’s amazing hidden squares and gardens.

Trustees

The charity is governed by a group of Trustees elected at our AGM by our members. The Board of Trustees meets between 6 and 7 times a year to discuss matters affecting the future of the charity. They usually take responsibility for a particular area of our work, whether leading on Events managements, or Fund raising.

Staff

The charity employs four staff – all part time. They are our:

  • Director, Helen Monger, she has worked for the charity since 2016.
  • Office Manager, Jordan Gaughan who joined the charity in February 2023 and looks forward to welcoming new Volunteers and helping members.
  • Landscape Planning & Engagement Coordinator, Nicholas Petridis, who joined in the charity in March 2023, and previously worked at The Royal Parks. He coordinates our Planning Volunteers and overseas all our responses to help protect London’s historic parks and gardens. This post is supported through a Heritage England Capacity Building Grant.
  • Marketing and Activities Assistant, Romi Sharp looks after all our social media, e-newsletters and supports ticketing for all our events having joined the Charity in November 2023.
