The Trust relies mainly on volunteers to carry out its important work, whether carrying out research, responding to planning applications that will encroach on much loved green space or working with others to celebrate London’s amazing hidden squares and gardens.
The Trust is governed by a group of Trustees elected at our AGM by our members. The Board of Trustees meets between 6 and 7 times a year to discuss matters affecting the future of the Trust. They usually take responsibility for a particular area of our work, whether leading on Events managements, or Fund raising.
The Trust employs four staff – all part time.
- Our Director is Helen Monger, she has worked for the Trust since 2016.
- Our Administrator and Volunteer Coordinator is Lisa Barr, she joined the Trust in September 2020. This post is part funded by a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
- Our Planning and Conservation Project Officer Rose Wakelin joined in March 2020 to support all our planning work. This post is funded by Historic England’s Regional Capacity Building Grant.
- Our Communications Officer Catherine Warburton looks after all our social media and e-newsletters. As well as working for the Trust she is currently studying for her Master in Architecture . Catherine’s post is funded by a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund
