The charity relies mainly on volunteers to carry out its important work, whether carrying out research, responding to planning applications that will encroach on much loved green space or working with others to celebrate London’s amazing hidden squares and gardens.
The charity is governed by a group of Trustees elected at our AGM by our members. The Board of Trustees meets between 6 and 7 times a year to discuss matters affecting the future of the charity. They usually take responsibility for a particular area of our work, whether leading on Events managements, or Fund raising.
Staff
The charity employs four staff – all part time. They are our:
- Director – Tim Webb took over as Director of LPG in August 2024 and is a conservationist passionate about access to quality public green space. Alongside his role as Director of London Parks and Gardens, he is a co-founder and Trustee of the National Park City Foundation, and Secretary of the UK Urban Ecology Forum.
- Office Manager – Jordan Gaughan looks after membership, email enquiries, accounting and volunteer management.
- Marketing and Activities Assistant – Romi Sharp looks after all our social media, e-newsletters and supports the running and development of all our events.
