| Our President’s appeal is now closed. We’d like to thank all those who gave so generously, enabling us to hit our target. THANK YOU. With Gift Aid your donations amounted to more than £15,000. This much needed funding is now being invested in systems and staff time to enable us to grow our impact, better support our volunteers and reach out to new communities. Our small charity has big ambitions to preserve, protect and celebrate London’s green spaces, old and new, not just for their natural beauty, but for their social value too. These spaces are rich reservoirs of history, reflecting the events and people who shaped London. Passing that history, good and bad, on to the next generation ensures continuity of place and a sense of community unique to each park or garden. Green spaces are essential for healthy balanced lives. Today, it’s more important than ever to protect and increase them as we build desperately needed homes and the infrastructure required to support our growing city. They also help reduce the impact of climate change by naturally managing water flows and humidity, and provide space for our physical and mental well-being. Your support is a testament to your love for London’s green spaces and a pledge to safeguard them for many years to come. Although the President’s Appeal is now closed, we’d still welcome donations which will be invested in furthering our aims for a better London for all.
