Who we are

The charity relies on the support and energy of our amazing volunteers to carry out its important work, conducting research, responding to planning applications which encroach on much loved green space, or working with others to celebrate London’s amazing hidden squares and gardens.

Trustees

The charity is governed by a group of Trustees. The Board of Trustees meets between six and seven times a year. They have oversight of the charities finances and governance, setting strategy and supporting delivery of our shared vision.

Staff

The charity employs four staff – all part time. They are our:

  • Director – Tim Webb took over as Director of LPG in August 2024 and is a conservationist passionate about access to quality public green space. Alongside his role as Director of London Parks and Gardens, he is a co-founder of the National Park City Foundation, and Secretary of the UK Urban Ecology Forum.
  • Office Manager – Jordan Gaughan looks after membership, email enquiries, accounting and volunteer management.
  • Event Producer – Anna White has worked with us for some time on a contract basis delivering our annual London Open Gardens fundraiser. We are delighted she is joining our staff for London Open Gardens 2026.
  • Planning & Engagement Officer – This post is being advertised. The role holder works with planning authorities and local campaign groups to protect and enhance green spaces affected by planning application.
