We are currently looking for new Garden Coordinators to help us plan the London Open Gardens weekend 2027.

We are searching for enthusiastic new volunteer Garden Coordinators to join our delivery team who work all year round, behind the scenes, to plan and deliver the London Open Gardens weekend, our key annual fund raising event.
Our dedicated and friendly team of Garden Coordinators meet around 8 – 10 times a year either online or at Duck Island Cottage in St James Park. If you love London’s history, have a passion for horticulture, and want to play a vital role in sharing the city’s greenest secrets, this could be the perfect match for you. Being part of our team is a rewarding experience filled with opportunities to discover and liaise with new and existing gardens, as well as to meet like-minded people.
As a Garden Coordinator for London Open Gardens, you will be the central point of contact for a specific cluster of gardens. You’ll get to liaise directly with garden owners, discover and recommend new hidden gems, and build lasting relationships within the capital’s vibrant gardening community. It is a highly rewarding, fun, and social role.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A passion for the city and its green places with a solid knowledge of London and a genuine interest in gardens and urban green spaces.
- A positive, organized approach with strong “can-do” attitude, paired with the tact and diplomacy needed to collaborate with diverse garden owners and team members.
- Digital confidence using everyday computer skills, including emails, internet research, and joining online meetings.
We also need you to commit to being part of the team for at least a year (many of our Garden Coordinators have been doing this for many years). And you will be required to attend the event which will take place over one weekend in June 2027.
Please email office@londongardenstrust.org using ‘Garden Coordinator Role’ in the email subject to register your interest and to request a more detailed description of this role. Interviews will take place either online or face to face in London as soon as possible.
