Pet Cemeteries + Animal Graves
Did you know that there are a number of animal cemeteries in London, dedicated solely to the burial of beloved pets and military animal heroes and heroines, the earliest dating from the late 19th century? In addition some of our public parks and gardens have secluded corners with diminutive gravestones inscribed with the names and dates of pets of a variety of species, including an owl as well as dogs, cats and donkeys. Here are just a few of them we’ve discovered but if anyone knows of others please get in touch!
